Job Description.
Vault.co, a leading student loan benefits fintech platform, is currently hiring a full-time Ruby on Rails Developer to join our growing team. You’ll be focused on writing code to support three existing products as well as new products on our roadmap. We’re a friendly, close team making a lasting impact on the lives of American workers by partnering with employers who want to help employees pay down student debt.
Key Responsibilities.
- Learn the ins and outs of our current product offerings
- Develop and maintain the Customer Success knowledge base
- Respond to end-user support requests with high quality, speed, and accuracy
- Schedule and lead conference calls with clients
- Revise and expand Customer Success template responses to improve consistency and quality
- Assist Customer Success/Operations Team as needed
- Identify risks and escalate issues to ensure requests are dealt with in a timely fashion
- Assist in day-to-day office management tasks as needed
- Learn the basics of Vault’s operations related to all of our products, including managing errors, tracking payment returns, and processing refunds
Required Skills & Experience.
- 5 years experience in Ruby/Rails
- Extensive experience in writing unit and integration tests
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs
- Understanding of JavaScript, node.js, CSS
- Experience with writing SQL queries and using MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Interest in fintech and mobile dev a plus
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and take initiative when you see an area that needs improvement
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information in simple terms
