Job Description.
Vault, a student loan benefits company, is looking for a Technical Lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have at least 5 years of experience coding as part of a backend dev team as well as leading/managing a team.
Key Responsibilities.
This position is remote, but the candidate must be available to work regular business hours CST (9-5pm)
5+ years of hands-on coding experience; experience managing a technical team a plus
Required Skills & Experience.
- Coding Ruby and Postgresql
- Building a product from initial concept through testing and launch
- Managing another off-shore or distributed developer
- Developing standalone apps and SaaS products
- Managing front-end and back-end developers and delivering regular product and feature releases according to an approved roadmap
- Estimating and adhering to exacting production schedules
- Performing and managing QA processes
Helpful additions:
- Strong communication skills and product vision; be biased toward action
- Knowledge of best practices in UI/UX
- Flexible to changing requirements
- Experience designing product flows and building PRDs
- Front-end coding ability (Javascript, Ember, React, Node.js)
- Interest in fintech and financial market products
- Have a history of working cohesively with sales, marketing, and partner success support teams to incorporate market feedback into the best products you can create
